Bruise, aka Christian Campbell, reveals his solo debut on Nu Groove, ‘Transit EP’. Nostalgic-yet-forward-looking in equal measure, the adventurous three track collection kicks off with ‘Sway’, aptly named with its low-slung beats and ethereal builds you can’t help but move to. Up next is ‘Getup’, altogether more reminiscent of gems from the Nu Groove catalogue, as sprightly strings and synth hums work together for infinite bounce. Closing out the EP, ‘Steel Cans’ unleashes a tenacious four-on-the-floor rhythm and blissful melodies, rounding of the EP with a dose of joyous energy. Another sparkling delivery from one of house’s most respected labels, Bruise on Nu Groove proves a perfect match.
